Piano Surge is committed to protecting user privacy. We do not collect personal information from any user. Where applicable, our practices comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), and other applicable privacy laws.
Piano Surge does not collect, store, or share any personal information from users, including:
No account creation is required to use Piano Surge. Players can use the full app without providing any personal information.
Piano Surge uses anonymous authentication provided by Supabase to enable cloud save and progress syncing across devices. This creates a random identifier with no connection to any personal information. No email, name, or password is required.
Optional sign-in with Apple is available for users who want to link their progress to an Apple ID. This uses Apple's privacy-preserving relay system — Piano Surge does not receive the user's real email address.
We store gameplay data (scores, progress, achievements, song completion) associated with the anonymous identifier. This data cannot be used to identify any individual.
We use Sentry for error tracking and app stability monitoring. Sentry collects:
Sentry does not collect names, email addresses, or any personally identifiable information. This data is used solely to fix bugs and improve app performance.
In-app purchases are processed entirely through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Piano Surge uses RevenueCat to manage subscription status. Purchase data is associated with the user's app store account, not with any information collected by Piano Surge.
The limited information described above is used exclusively to:
We do not use any data for advertising, marketing, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to the core functionality of the app.
We do not sell, rent, or share any user data with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes. Data is shared only with the following service providers, solely for the purposes described in this policy:
Each of these providers maintains their own privacy policies and is contractually obligated to protect user data.
Piano Surge contains no advertising of any kind. There are no ad SDKs, no ad networks, no behavioral tracking, and no targeted advertising. We do not display ads to any user.
Piano Surge may include optional social features (leaderboards, friend codes) in future updates. If enabled, these features will:
Social features will not be enabled without updating this privacy policy accordingly.
Gameplay data is retained as long as the anonymous account exists. Users can delete their data at any time by:
We will process deletion requests within 30 days.
We use industry-standard security measures to protect data in transit (TLS encryption) and at rest. Supabase provides row-level security on all database tables. However, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Since Piano Surge does not collect personal information from users, there is no personal data to review, modify, or delete. Any user — or a parent or guardian on behalf of a user — may contact us at any time with questions or concerns about the app.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. If we make material changes that affect how we handle user data, we will provide prominent notice within the app.
